Wolfram Alpha Search Result

I heard that Wolfram Alpha already monetizing the search result, but with what? I haven’t see it yet, and what is the big deal with wolfram alpha? Why the media always talk about it.

Honestly, I don’t find something useful for the search result on wolfram… Well maybe they are still developing it, and its not perfect yet, I believe sooner Wolfram Alpha who claims World’s First Computational Knowledge Engine.

But for monetizing it? I’m not sure it will be optimize for now, I even try to search Internet marketing on Wolfram and the result is {GlobalSCAPE | Commtouch Software | Priceline.com,Alloy | Mktg | Hollywood Media | InfoGROUP | Lamar | Marchex | MDC Partners | Source Interlink | Clear Channel | Harte-Hanks | Schawk | Valassis} and then I try Adsense and the result is Wolfram|Alpha isn’t sure what to do with your input.

It’s not clear how advertising works on Wolfram Alpha but it does not appear that Wolfram has duplicated Google’s keyword-based search ad approach as yet. The site has said it will accept corporate sponsorship, however. Lenovo’s ad was a text ad for the ThinkPad that turned into a display ad when a visitor moused over the text.
