Cisco WebEx Meeting is now in BlackBerry
Cisco began the consolidation own technology tools with a 3G smartphone. Web and audio conferencing using Cisco WebEx Meeting Center can now be done on a BlackBerry smartphone and Nokia.
“Cisco is now expanding collaboration tools on the smartphone. Freedom can help improve employee productivity, because it can work anywhere and anytime they want, with an option of their own, “said Senior Vice President of Cisco Collaboration Software Group, Doug Dennerline.
Cisco WebEx Meeting can now be accessed on the BlackBerry Bold, Storm and Curve 8900 from the rim. While similar services are also accessible through the Nokia E71, Nokia E75, Nokia N97, Nokia Eseries and Nseries, and the Samsung Blackjack II.
Smarphone 3G users can participate in audio and web conferencing using 3G network or Wi-Fi. Users can see and hear the explanation of the materials directly from the presentation of each meeting participant.
“The Cisco WebEx Meeting Center on the BlackBerry smartphone to increase employee productivity equipped with a safe access and use the Join Now, one click can connect automatically in a meeting,” said Vice President Global Alliances Research In Motion Jeff McDowell.
Cisco WebExTM Meeting smartphone allows users to stay connected with each other, although they are not in the office or home.
Service users can access the Cisco WebEx Meeting Center via the browser on their smartphone to be able to run audio and web conferencing through 3G connection or a combination of 2G and Wi-Fi.
In addition, users can participate in the meeting that was scheduled earlier, and view the presentation materials, and hear directly from a description of each meeting participant.
Offer this service will be available in some operating systems, including BlackBerry smartphone, Symbian and Windows Mobile. To participate in this meeting is not required fee. But if the schedule and host meetings, the hosts needed account of the service Cisco WebEx Meeting Center.
